Jacques Bos studeerde geschiedenis, politieke wetenschappen en wijsbegeerte aan de Universiteit Leiden en promoveerde in 2003 aan dezelfde universiteit. Momenteel doceert hij wetenschapsfilosofie (met de nadruk op filosofie van de geesteswetenschappen) bij de Afdeling Wijsbegeerte van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Daarnaast is hij directeur van het Onderwijsinstituut Wijsbegeerte.
Thijs Lijster is assistant professor in the philosophy of art and culture at the University of Groningen, and postdoctoral researcher at the Culture Commons Quest Office of the University of Antwerp. He studied philosophy in Groningen and New York, and received his PhD at the University of Groningen in 2012. He was awarded with the ABG/VN Essay prize in 2009, the Dutch/Flemisch Prize for Young Art Critics in 2010, the NWO/Boekman dissertation prize in 2015, and the Essay Prize of the Royal Academy of Dutch Language and Literature (KANTL) in 2018. His publications include De grote vlucht inwaarts [The Great Leap Inward] (2016), Benjamin and Adorno on Art and Art Criticism (2017) and Kijken, proeven, denken [Seeing, Tasting, Thinking] (2019), and he was editor of the books Spaces for Criticism. Shifts in Contemporary Art Discourses (2015) and The Future of the New. Artistic Innovation in Times of Social Acceleration (2018).
Abele Kamminga is studying history and philosophy at the University of Groningen. His master thesis analyzes the mechanisms of historical hate narratives in ethnic conflicts.
Janneke Adema (1979) is philosopher, (book)historian and media theorist. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Library and Information Sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
Marije Hristova (1978) is historian and hispanist. She is currently working as a PhD candidate at Maastricht University.
JAd Knotter is directeur van het Sociaal Historisch Centrum voor Limburg en bijzonder hoogleraar in de vergelijkende regionale geschiedenis, in het bijzonder die van Limburg en aangrenzende regio’s aan de Universiteit Maastricht. Jonne Harmsma is researchmasterstudent ‘modern history and inter-national relations’ aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in de afstudeer-richting geschiedfilosofie.
Huub Dijstelbloem is Professor of Philosophy of Science and Politics at the University of Amsterdam and Senior Research Fellow at the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR), The Hague, The Netherlands. He is interested in questions concerning science, technology and politics and positions himself disciplinary at the intersection of STS, Political Theory and Philosophy of Science. His current research is focused on three topics: (a) the digitization of border controls, migration policies and mobility management; (b) the governance of food networks; and (c) the contested authority of science. He is author and co-editor of several volumes and coedited Migration and the New Technological Borders of Europe (2011) Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan.
Gerard de Vries is hoogleraar Wetenschapsfilosofie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam en Raadslid van de Wetenschappelijke Raad voor het Regeringsbeleid. In die laatste hoedanigheid was hij onder meer verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen van het WRR-rapport ‘Onzekere Veiligheid’ (2008).
Ewald Engelen is als hoogleraar financiële geografie verbonden aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam.
Pim Klaassen studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and History, Philosophy and Sociology of Science at the University of Cambridge. His interests go out to issues on the borderline of science and society. At present he works as a lecturer and PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam. There he works on the rise of the neurosciences, focusing on the inter- or multidisciplinary project of neuroeconomics this has brought forth, and the various issues of demarcation that have sprung up with it.
Wim de Jong studeerde geschiedenis en filosofie. Momenteel werkt hij aan een dissertatie over de geschiedenis van politieke opvoeding en democratie in Nederland en België (1945-1985) aan de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen.
Christophe Andrades is docent cultuurwetenschappen aan de Universiteit Maastricht.
