Biografie
Étienne Balibar is professor emeritus of philosophy at the University Paris X Nanterre and Distinguished Professor of Humanities at the University of California, Irvine. He has recently published La proposition de l’égaliberté (Paris: PUF 2010) and Violence et civilité (Paris: Galilée 2010). Among his English publications are Politics and the Other Scene (London: Verso 2002) and We, the People of Europe? (Princeton: Princeton University Press 2004).
